Day #60, March 30th, 2016.

Still from Indie Game: The Movie (2012).

First documentary post on my Tumblr, and unsurprisingly, I chose my favorite one.

It does not matter whether you like gaming or not. It does not matter whether you like watching documentaries or not. It does not matter if you aren’t interested in what goes on inside the mind of a lost and fundamentally exhausted creative genius. You can stand independently of these strings of thought, and still find something beautiful, something so purely inspiring in this movie that it will make you cry.

A testimony to the spirit of creative inquiry, a behind-the-scenes reel of a sidetracked but extremely relevant side of an industry that runs well into billions of dollars per year; a fantastic, simple and humane story of people who fought and continue to fight hard for bringing their visions to life in your rooms, and placing the fate of their protagonists in your hands.

If I had to give a recommendation to someone who wanted to get started on watching documentaries, this would undoubtedly be my choice.
